Bruegel the Elder
I heard Josė Mourinho, he reckons that he can get them to the Champions League before he gets his old age pension, or at least in to the Dutchy League, it was one or the other! 100%cornish
Could be ex Godolphin manager Tony McKellar he would sort them out such a shame to see a team like St Blazey in such a mess

Paul
Well.....didn't see this coming to be honest. Results haven't improved but performances have. But still no points on the board. Hard one for the club because do nothing and go down and it's seen as lack of effort to change things. And by changing it's seen as a mess. Best of luck to the two Bancys. They've done their best for the club. Let's hope we have enough players to put a team together for Saturday and keeping it competitive on boxing day. Let's hope for a better 2016. teflon123
Clubs in Dire Straits.Only chance they have is if they bring in someone like Alan Carey who could put some money into the club for players.Would have kept the Bances on until the end of the season at least, at least their contacts in regards to players would have meant that they were competitive in every game they played on the pitch and gained some kind of respect in that format. Now they are gone, all the players they brought in will surely follow suit and leave ther club in a bigger mess as their reserve side dont have the quality in players to step up and results will surely suffer. What a mess down at Blaise Park, they must have somebody in mind or else although i agree the table does not lie, the timing (christmas) seems a little strange. I was speaking to a few Blazey supporters at Sticker not so long back & they were very concerned at the direction the club they were going. I disagree somewhat with teflon123 slightly as i cant see how you can state their form/results have been competitive as they lose every weekend? Alan Carey, Leigh Coops, Macca, all good shouts if they would take on such a mess.
Method man
What difference is a new manager this time of year going to make unless he or the club is willing to pump in extra cash. Bancey wasn't far off completing his squad. With the bottom sides coming up in the new year, elburton and Stoke at home, camelford twice and Newquay twice, you had to of fancied their chances. KPH
Got to agree with Method Man.Really difficult to rebuild again and surely they will have to as a player exodus is likely. What had the Bances done wrong? The club was in the mire when they took over and they had to recruit heavily as the squad was thin to say the least. They recruited and were beginning to compete and push sides already having better seasons. They were set to give themselves a chance against others at bottom of league. Not sure the committee have done the club any favours with this knee jerk reaction and may consequently have sealed relegation.

chairman
In my opinion the committee should look at themselves and question whether they want football at their current level. Sometimes it needs people to get off their asses and find whatever is necessary for a Manager to manage. This has been a steady decline here and the club needs some football minded people to follow in the footsteps of those stalwarts who made it what it was. Wake up before it is too late please! Money Man
Who ever st blazey appoint I hope they can turn things round and become the force they once were again . To many good teams historically not challenging anymore . Hard work and commitment is required ASAP and I feel 2016 will be a good year for them. TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
No youngsters coming through to do the work that the old (now) fellas used to do.General decline in the interest in local football will see a few more clubs slipping down the ladder. Some will actually fold as well in the years to come.Football for young un's is televised, that's where the interest is now. ECPL
It just shows that without money. This is the result. If a sugar daddy came along the players would flock back to the club. Not happening
Bruegel the Elder
Some good points, yes if you want to see a bunch of mercenaries plying their trade for mega-bucks you watch the Premiership on TV. I you want to watch local youngsters that you know enjoying their football you go to Junior matches (or some Combo/ECPL teams). the S.W.P.L. falls between the two, neither good enough to spend gate/sponsorship cash on nor familiar enough to feel involved with. Tommy Matthews
No youngsters coming through to do the work that the old (now) fellas used to do.General decline in the interest in local football will see a few more clubs slipping down the ladder. Some will actually fold as well in the years to come.Football for young un's is televised, that's where the interest is now. Can't disagree with you but would just like to add, jobs are also an issue for many players now. Many more jobs are working around a 7 days a week model and some players can't give the committment to Saturdays like we all used to. There are of course as you say those who just can't be bothered to give that level of committment as well. The advent of 3G astro pitches around the country has also given rise to midweek 6-a-side leagues where work committments are less of a problem, there are less issues around upkeep of pitches and training, and more of a social opportunity to play with some mates rather than do the two things I loved most, training hard midweek and playing on the holy day of Saturday. This is an issue the FA have been trying to address for a few years now, there are still a similar number of players playing the game but less 11-a-side and more social 6-a-side all over the country. Kids know all about the players and who's worth what from Football Manager on their computers, it's a shame that some don't put the same effort into playing. ex-chairman
Read that Alan Carey has been appointed with Stuart Massey assistant and this would appear to be the sort of appointment needed to turn things around. Only time will tell if its the correct appointment, & if Alan can save St.Blazey from certain relegation. 5 points going into the New Year has left them a real mountain to climb, especially as Reported finances are very tight with the club having no money. Unless Alan has a magic wand? The ability to coach players??? Or lots of his own money to plough into it i personally think they will finish in the bottom two. Credit to him for putting his name to it, big commitment commuting from Coverack to St.Blazey each week. Good luck Alan.
