ciderhead
Cracking cup semi-final tonight with both sides producing great football. St Austell had the strong wind in their favour for the first half and used it well. From a throw-in on the left Liam Eddy's precision shot beat Semmens all ends up and flew into the top right corner to make it 1 - 0. The G equalised from the penalty spot to make it 1 - 1 at HT, Ross Fallens wrong-footing Chapman in the St Austell goal. In the second half The G had the advantage of the wind with Semmens' long clearances often catching the St Austell defence off guard. Kyle Brown scored what proved to be the winner for The G, though St Austell pressed hard for an equaliser, constantly pumping high and dangerous crosses into the G box. In time added on, Semmens collided with a St Austell player leading to penalty claims waved away by referee D'Arcy.

Poor Phillip Laffs looked a dejected figure at the end, could St.Austell end up Potless ( i dont mean the club!!!) I mean as a team by winning no trophies this season?Congratulations Godolphin, be seeing you for the Easter Monday Showpiece, comiserations to St.Austell, always next year. Might be difficult for Phil to walk away at the end of the season if they dont pick up Trophy somewhere.
