The sun has been shining and a drying strong wind all day. Per haps the ref is afraid of the wind as well as getting his feet wet!
Santini11
Totally agree......a 4.30 inspection would have been more apropriate. Clubs are to eager on gettin early inspection especially when we have a whole day of dry weather

kevin richards
I think both sets of players will be glad the game is off. The rain & heavy pitches are a leveler, but the players can adjust to that, however, the Gale force wind would just make the game a farce.

But the wind is not gale force any longer and the forecast suggested that this would be the case. There is always an urgency to call a game off these days but NOurgency to get it on! RAPPO
Totally agree Kev. Nothing ruins a game of football more than gale force winds!! Just makes the game a lottery and a great leveller. Give me rain, snow, sun, even a boggy pitch but ask any decent footballer and they'll hate playing in wind. Rather avoid the old cliche "game of two halves" thanks!! Rather have two equal halves of knocking the ball around and it going where you want it to go!!! ⚽️
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
The game at Godolphin was totally dominated by the wind, and a game of two halves most definitely.......just saying.
Rocket Ronnie
Everyone would rather play with no wind. Very rarely happens at some pitches though lol
