One has to ask which half time team talk did the trick, the one Phil Lafferty gave to his team or the one he gave the match officials when he stormed into their changing room and engaged in a vociferous rant before storming off? By all means speak calmly to them but his attitude stunk tonight. Is it any wonder referees are quitting when they have to deal with big egos like that? Ok he might not have been the best referee but it could be argued he was bad for both sides.

It was a niggly game that never reached any great heights and when Godolphin went down to ten men St Austell never really looked like losing their advantage.

One question, must every decision a referee gives have to be greeted with a swear word? :SM_carton:

Was Phil sent to the stand? It would appear not and so perhaps it was more of a word of advice to the officials rather than a rant!!! ?

Judging by the volume of the shouting and the people moving closer to hear and demanding the officials to get in the room I'd say it must have been a very loud word of advice. I'm surprised no action was taken, also some of the comments to the assistant referee were advice related - to shut his f(laming) mouth.

Last time I saw phil at Bodmin was when parkway beat Bodmin ( millers retirement I believe ) and they thumped you to give the league to town

Long gone are those days Tribute! Still pumping a lot in but not much in return at Present. Although top of the league for a few hours!

Explain to me why when short of players at Helston on Tuesday none of your reserves were asked to fill the bench?
