Guest
Is there any truth in the rumour that Wadebridge Town are leaving Bodieve Park having sold it?
chairman
Didn't they have piles of funding money?
panda
I seem to remember at the time all the improvements were made that this was to be the home of Cornish football and all cup finals and county games were to be played there So I presume they had funding from the County but what happened to this idea ?. claret&blue
Not totally sure but i think the part funding for the ground did not need to be paid back after a certain number of years, maybe that time has passed and they are now free to move? I am sure someone from Wadebridge will clarify if the rumours are correct.
baldy
The plans are displayed in the clubhouse but it has been ongoing for several years with little progress. The new ground is planned to be near the school/college opposite the current ground. It was being "discussed" by some away supporters (Wendron) and a player when I was there a couple of weeks ago. BIG AL
1 hour ago, Keith B said: A home for Cornish football - was that just a club dream, or was that a CCFA intention ? If the new developments at that time were part of a plan to bring major tournaments to Wadebridge - why was it never fulfilled ? Great shame. A football ground full of potential not realised. Once again the fa must take full blame for this. Helston is another ground that could stage it. Why choose Truro when it is no advantage to both the clubs playing financially. Oh I forgot, there is room there to put up their hospitality tent so the black blazer brigade can socialise with each other !
