Was at St Blazey and disappointing in front of goal today. Never threatened the Stole keeper very much.

Impressed with the visitors No 9 though. Very lively and laid on the first for Brown and scored the second himself - Ollie Aplin. That one coming well into added on time at the end of the match.

As a side note - Stoke's 8,9 and 10 - all called Ollie!

St Blazey 0-2 Stoke Gabriel.

Newquay 2-6 Tavistock

Newquay were absolutely abject in the first half, Tavistock only managed to convert two of numerous chances.

After the break it was a much more even contest, Newquay got it back to 2-1 and 3-2 but their organisation in midfield collapsed in the last 10 minutes and Tavistock's numbers 10 and 7 both managed to complete hat-tricks.

Yes Dave, first ban anybody who says anything humorous, then we can go on to ban anyone we don't agree with, and then, in due course you would have the perfect forum, for those who like that sort of thing. Personally I like the forum the way it is!

Camelford 0 1 Saltash

Just about the right result although the goal should not have stood, the ashes forward had baldy in a boston crab  and should have been penalized. The assistant thought it was a foul but in the pre match talk was told not to give decisions that occurred in midfield which seems strange at this level,.Could have understood if it was a club linesman.

Of course the goal should have stood. "Boston Crab"?  It seem the only way Camelford could defend was by wrestling with the Saltash United players.

I did feel there was no need for Reg Hambly to use foul and abusive language towards the Referee and he deserved to be sent off to the other side. However, I did notice he reappeared close to the home dug-out in the second half.

It was a scrappy match, but Saltash United did deserve the 3 points.

Genuine statement from my daughter. I said , " when you look at it in the mirror the writing is backwards." She replied , " what if you turn the mirror around " . I thought it was funny ! Lol

Not that strange, in that midfield area the referee will generally be closer so would decide if it was a foul or not. The assistant is there to assist the referee with decisions he maybe closer to.

Still amazed at this result. No reports on the game either - where's Tania - she's usually very honest and generous in defeat. Hope all's ok there.

Not sure who played for G yesterday so can't comment specifically but they do miss Jamie Lowry when he's unavailable - a real driving force at this level. Some odd tactics employed in recent games with players in positions which limit their effectiveness ......

Hope that a strong squad will be available for cup final and Bodmin will be seriously tested if that's the case.

Elburton Villa 5 v 0 Godolphin Atlantic

Seeing as it's our best win of the season I might as well give it a shot for a report as requested!

G's side I believe had changes since we last played them but they were there to win to help secure a top five finish.

Villa took the lead after 15 minutes when G's fullback under hit a back pass for Matt Slinger to race onto, round the keeper and tap into an empty net.

Whilst Godolphin were restricted to long shots Villa again were able to get into the box and were awarded a penalty after 36 minutes for a foul on Slinger who was a constant threat. Jordan Rundle stepped up and made sure Villa went in at half time two up.

To be two up at the break was welcome for the Villa Management as it was a penalty miss at Saltash which only gave us a one goal lead at half time there.

Second half Villa didn't take their foot off the pedal and many chance and opportunity was seen go wide or well saved.

On 65 minutes Slinger again found himself one on one to have his shot saved close range but the re-bound was then squared for Jed Smale to slide home.

Ten minutes later Duncan Duthie stayed in the box after a Villa corner was cleared and a back stick cross fell for him to shoot across the goal with the ball hitting the inside of the post and into the net.

With added time left to play Jed Smale broke down the left flank to cross deep and find MotM Matt Slinger header in from close range.

5-0 and we finally took our chances and gave a performance that we knew our players could have given all season!

I've attached a report that was printed in last weeks paper which cover's thoughts from the season but we would like to thank every club that we have visited in the CSWPL Prem and wil look forward to visiting new clubs in Division One East or West.

Bloody awful.

End off report.

To think it was only a couple weeks ago Paul you were mocking Bodmin insinuating our league chances were over! Now it looks like your league status is in doubt. Although I was talking to boy Johnny Childs earlier up Valley Truckle Service Station & he was saying Camelford are set to rest a few players tomorrow so it might be your lucky day there, so you best send them a Thank You card. We are at Stoke so will look after you

The bottom is almost if not more exciting than the top, Made more interesting now that two teams will definitely be coming up!

What makes you think that two teams are coming up - have I missed a statement from someone. The common knowledge is one up and one relegated, just shows how you can get it wrong.

We are talking about the Premier Division here aren't we? Hasn't it always been the case that two relegated and replaced by one from each Division One? Why does there need to be a statement to confirm that?

That's what should happen and is allowed for - but if only one coming up, as happens from time to time, then only one going down. Should not those clubs that are kicking each other to death on the pitch and the shouts to match officials be told, then that would all be avoided. That's why a statement might help - but- if it is two up, two down, no problem - no need for a statement at all.

I was under the understanding that Tiverton and Argyle will finish in the promotion places and with facilities already in place will take promotion.

Is this to do with a suggestion that Tiverton had decided to decline promotion? This suggestion was put to me from elsewhere last week and so I asked the league who replied that although it had been rumoured, they had received nothing from the club itself.
