Tavy were too quick and strong for our boys tonight. Perhaps the third game in five days and the massive match at Bodmin on Wednesday tooks its toll, that's taking nothing from an excellent Tavy team who will be up there challenging at the top next season. Apart from the match a very enjoyable evening, Tavy were very welcoming, excellent hosts.

Tavy scorers - Crago 7min, Coombes 26, Hobbs 64 pen, Shepherd 72.

A very good attendance too, don't know the exact figure yet.

All quiet on the western front tonight !

Well done to the lads on an excellent season and good luck to Phil Lafferty.

How did this Tavistock team loose at home to Newquay? With the quality they have and completing the double over St Austell they must surly feel they've missed a great chance to win the league this year. Early season results against some of the bottom sides have proved costly.

Tavistock have come along way since the start of the season,  especially losing part of their management team after a dozen games or so...  They have built a very good young squad that tries to play a passing game.  However,  as the season goes there are the odd result that no one can predict. That's the beauty of the round ball game. Tonights game was a bit flat as It was both teams fourth game in seven days.. Though I must say, that Tavistocks endeavour and cutting edge was the difference...  Congratulations to St Austell for finishing runners up and a great deal of praise for Tavistock,  newly promoted for taking third position...  Already looking forward to next season..

Camelford took 4 points off Tavy start of the season the only points they had for weeks, strange old game
