Tavistock Association Football Club seek Commission-based Commercial Manager 

 

We are a friendly and ambitious Club with two adult men's teams currently playing in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula Premier League (SWPL) and Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League (ECPL).

 

Having won multiple silverware last season, including promotion to the SWPL Premier, our First Team have finished third in the League this season (our best ever finish in this League) and we seek to continue this success by putting both of our sides in contention for promotion over the next few seasons with a sound and sustainable commercial approach.

 

In order to achieve this ambition, we now seek to appoint a part-time Commercial Manager to assist in developing the Advertising and Sponsorship activities of the Club.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

- Develop and promote advertising & sponsorship packages / opportunities.

- Promote the club / brand locally, regionally & nationally.

- Identify potential business partners & develop mutually beneficial relationships.

- Negotiate / secure advertising & sponsorship deals with commercial partners (e.g. ground boards, match sponsorship, programme advertising).

- Help plan and run Club events (particularly at our Red & Black Social Club).

 

Additional tasks include:

 

- Working alongside the 'Football in Tavistock' (fit.gives) Volunteer Commercial Manager to apply for appropriate external grant funding.

- Supporting senior committee members of Tavistock Community Football Club to publicise the Club's agenda, particularly the development of Youth Football within the Town

- Working alongside the Club's Media Manager and fit.gives Volunteer Commercial Manager to publicise commercial partnerships and successes through the appropriate channels (e.g. Matchday programme, Club websites, social media and fit.gives website).

 

Key Skills required:

 

- Excellent presentation & communication skills.

- Professional attitude to work.

- Driven and goal oriented.

 

This is a part time, commission-based role and would best suit someone with a business background and a passion for sport.
