ECPL
Just one thing. This was not the official switch on. That is not until August. This was an evening to test all the systems which seemed to have all worked.

Guest
Congratulations to all at Callington - that makes 17 teams in the SWPL and 18 in Cornwall if you include the floodlights at Par Running Track
Mike Odgers
Well done to Callington Town F C for quietly going about their business and setting up the floodlights at Marshfield Parc. I believe St.Blazey may have been the first Cornish club to have lights in the 1950's but were then gone.-Penzance had some form of floodlights in the 1960's playing youth games.-Falmouth were next in 1973-74 and a couple of years later Bodmin were lit up. It would be interesting to see how later clubs erected floodlights in chronological order-perhaps "Willow" has a listing from his archives? Not forgetting Marazion & Millbrook who no longer have lights
Guest
It's too late to properly research but rough dates and am open to corrections: Bodmin was circa 1975 Camelford was when they moved to their new ground but possibly around 2008 Falmouth was 1973 Helston was September 2015 Launceston I think was about 1993/94 Liskeard I believe was 1976/77 when they played Bristol City Marazion I think was around 1992 (weren't they Newquay's old lights. Millbrook about 1992 Newquay 1989 Par Running Track - no idea at all Penryn around 2004 Penzance played regular games under lights in the mid 1970s Porthleven I'm not sure off the top of my head but around 2000 give or take Saltash I have no idea St Austell was 2011 give or take (how long have Buckland been in the Western League?) St Blazey was late 1950s but I believe they were without lights until around 1989 Torpoint was around 2010/11 I think Truro City 1986 Wadebridge I think was about 2004 - before the pitch was levelled
Mike Odgers
Saltash probably 1975/76 when they first entered the Western League?
