Pre Season at Wendron a United FC

Recommended Posts

Pre Season at Wendron United commences on Tuesday 5th July.

All players: current, new and past are welcome if they are interested in playing for one of our sides.
To begin with, all teams (1st,2nd,3rd and 4th) will be training together before going off into their squads. Training will take place at The Underlane, 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
Pre Season will be led by first team manager, Charlie Davis, and his assistant: Jack Greenwood aided by Andrew Mitchell and Josh McDonald (second team managers), Rob Noventa and Antony Williams (3rd team manager and assistant) and Robert Messer and Scott Laity (4th team manager and captain).
The past season has seen the development of our stand, which covers the whole length of one side of our main pitch. We also boast an impressive changing facility and viewing gallery. Both were built with the help of our players and officials. Our club house is open everyday of the week and is the home of a busy social calendar. Our ground won many fans over the recent Groundhoppers event and we feature in this month's national 'Groundtastic' magazine. We also won SWPL Div1 West Ground of the Year this season.
After finishing second in the Combination League and winning both the League and Evely Cups, we gained promotion into the South Western League Div 1 West. Last season Davis led us to an impressive and steady finish, this year our aim is to build on that and become a force in the league.
Our seconds were taken over by Mitchell and McDonald last season; who led the side to a third place finish. Hoping to gain promotion to the Trelawny Premier, the goal is to be playing - and competing for honours - in the Combination League before too long.
Our third team, managed by Rob Noventa, finished their season with a 4th placed finish in Division 3 and winning the Arthur Pearce Trophy for a second successive season. They are a really successful side who keep moving up the leagues.
Our fourths currently play in Division 5. They have a great blend of youth and experience and they are a great stepping stone to playing up the leagues. The aim this season is to build consistency and challenge at the right end of the table.

If you are interested in any of the challenges above, or are interested in seeking involvement at our club, then please message us on here, email or contact one of our managers.
To add to this, we also have a successful Sunday League side who won the League and Cup last season.

Thank you.
Apologies for posting on several message boards, but wanted to reach all.
