Godolphin v St Blazey

Recommended Posts

6 - 3 the final score in a game of vastly different halves from the G point of view. Phil Lowry opened the scoring on 19 mins and then the G wheels came off. Back came St Blazey to put 2 goals past a lacklustre G, Phil Lowry made it 2 - 2 only for St Blazey to score another goal which proved to be their last of the match. At last the G made telling substitutions, took the lead out of their boots and scored 4 goals from Aaron Dilley (2), Scott Flanagan, and completing his hat-trick Phil Lowry.

An entertaining game for the neutral with plenty of great skills on display from both sides, though on balance a fair result.

Great effort from St Blazey tonight. Unfortunately the clear offside for the goal to make it 2v2 wasn't given. Then when we're 3v2 up we had a great chance to make it 4v2 but Tornado passed when he had no need to. We looked comfortable. So disappointed. At least Bodmin on Saturday should be a bit easier.

It was a great game to watch! the G turned up finally in the last 15 mins when Jamie Lowry came of the bench and put himself in the middle of the park with the outstanding Spanish lad (Antonio) I think hes called, class act him! I hope now the G can stop coming out the blocks like a bunch of overweight cows and start like they finish! If they could play the way they end most games they would be real contenders!
