Quiet Man
It's not all about "on the field". Programs don't just appear on match days, raffle tickets don't sell themselves, litter doesn't clean itself up. I could go on, but I guess you get the point. Every little helps, but only a few volunteer.
Dave Deacon
It would be nice if just for once someone offered to go around with the 50/50 tickets to help Wayne out! I might actually win for a change too?
Quiet Man
Very true, Dave. Wayne not only sells the raffle tickets on match days, but also has to get the team sheet to the referee as well as all the other duties that go with being the Secretary. A never ending job and to volunteer to do that job takes real guts. Without these people there would be no football.
Savo
Blazey showing they are up for the fight down at the bottom with spirited displays against the G, Bodmin and Falmouth, unfortunately no points to show for the efforts. You have to think that against bottom half the table teams that they will pick up some points. Looking like the relegation battle will be between Blazey, Newquay an Withy, interesting season at both ends of the table already.
Paul
At 3v0 down it looked like we were in for a long evening with the weather not making it any better. But a soft penalty that was saved and knocked in gave us hope. Second half we start knocking the ball round quicker and making chances. Out of no where it's 3v3. Against the ring of play Falmouth go 4v3 up but minutes later it's 4v4. St Blazey then have a decent effort on goal and could have gone in front only for Falmouth to break away and score. With minutes to go a mix up in the box and St Blazey almost score with a great strike just tipped over for a corner. Falmouth break away in the final minute and add a 6th. Could have gone anyway in the end. For a mid week game and horrible weather there looked a decent enough crowd off 100. Anyone who stayed home missed a great match. Falmouths 4 stands are looking a bit sorry for themselves. 2 have srunk in size. I hope they don't disappear all together. Tivvy away on Saturday. We are due some points soon surly. I've been a volunteer for the last 20 years Big Al. I have always said to Falmouth Town and anyone else that I would help with some sessions if I were needed or required. I helped out a few years back when the club lost their manager, helped as a founder member of Falmouth United and did 10 years as the Cornwall Youth Team manager. I spent the last three years as an FA tutor. Football is for everyone and we should all share our knowledge to make the game better. Sometimes age is just a number. Another loss in the coloumn Paul! At least you can forget about the league after this weekend, I believe your at our place in the Senior Cup? Anything can happen in the cup! Looking at the league, you certainly like to give a few goals away, 43 in 12 matches! One point from a possible 36 must be very concerning for Martin, Amos & the gang down at Blaise Park headquarters, Any news on the Manager situation Paul?
