WendronOfficial
It is with great regret that we inform you that our first team manager, Charlie Davis, has decided to step down from his role to explore different ventures. We would like to thank Charlie for all of his hard work and commitment he has put into the job, and for his successful efforts in bringing the whole club forward. We are delighted that Jack Greenwood, assistant manager, has agreed to stay on and aid running the team until we find a new manager, and we hope that he stays on in his role when that time comes. Again, we wish to thank him for his dedication and hard work. We are looking for someone to step into the role of first team manager and continue the great work our previous managers have started; cementing our position in the league and building upon it. Applicants are expected to work within the ethos of the club and play an active role in bringing the whole club forward. At Wendron United FC we are fortunate enough to have some of the best facilities at this level nationally, as recognised by Groundhoppers and national football ground magazines. The committee are extremely hard working and the successful applicant will have their support. It is a fabulous community club and we are constantly striving to make steps forward on and off the pitch. If you wish to apply for the position of first team manager at Wendron United Football Club, then please get in contact with Peter Thorne (football chairman) on 07950 755213. Thank you
SWFC
Gary Pascoe has left Falmouth Town due to a fall out between the Gaffa and him regarding the Truro college boys. Charlie has replaced Gary. has this Jack bloke got the time, skill, respect, pull of players etc to do the job himself on a full time basis? A lot of managerial changes at Wendron 1st team in the passed couple of years??
WendronOfficial
Yes, Charlie has joined Falmouth - after beating them in the cup - to assist Westy. Best of luck to them. Jack is an exceptional coach, he runs his own soccer schools and has several qualifications. He has a great repertoire with the boys and he is someone we would love to keep hold of. As for wanting the job full time, that is only something he can answer. As for managerial changes... It is something every club goes through. Paul Murray, after getting promotion and winning several trophies, took a break as his work patterns changed. It's great to see him back in football. Stuart Massey then also expanded his work and felt he couldn't commit. Charlie has left to go up a division - can't argue with that. Each of them has made a positive contribution to where we now are and they have all helped lay the foundations to bring the club forward once more, hopefully becoming a real force in this league and who knows - maybe even Cornish football! Sijames
Wouldn't the club appoint the reserve team manager or give him a chance? Or do the club need someone with some contacts elsewhere to bring players in? If not keep it within the club and promote the players from within?? Dave Deacon
Just had it confirmed that Dennis Annear is in fact stepping up to be Assistant Manager with Charlie Davis as 1st team coach
WendronOfficial
If the reserve team managers wanted to apply for the post then they'd be welcome too - or anyone else within the club for that matter. Ultimately, it comes down to having the best man or men for the job. As for the time being, the side are in extremely good hands with Jack Greenwood. WendronOfficial
@Mr Cornwall see title of thread. @JENGLE it would be unfair and inappropriate for us to post any news on applicants.
JENGLE
That's fair enough. Looking forward to seeing who will be appointed manager at Wendron. A club that's really progressing well doing everything right on and off the pitch.
