Newquay vs Godolphin

So nice walk up the hill to see the big local derby between the 2 Newquay teams , think the G will be too good fo Newquay and come out as 4-1 winners but Newquay have been playing such well soon and i will take some of that credit by suggesting Danny O Hagan plays in defence and hes been awesome and was my mom last week vs Ivybridge so looking forward to a great match and a good crowd and good atmosphere

Just back from watching the match and the honours went to Godolphin with a Danny Carne goal in a 0-1 win . The 1st half Newquay wher clearly the better team hitting the crossbar and also  bringing a outstanding save out of the Gs goalie Josh Gilbert in the 2nd half the G played a lot better and Carne who scored the goal beating Joe Crane at his near post which he should of saved but Carne should also of had a pen when he was clearly foued in the area but the linesman ignored that and another foul on Carne was also ignored .My man of the match is easy the Gs Goalie Josh Gilbert confident in everything he did plus 2 outstanding saves man of the match for Newquay Jack Scott for his 1st half display .Not the best of matches in front of a good crowd 389 and a £100 50 50 draw going to someone from Exeter .Unlucky for Newquay for a very good 1st half display but well done to the G for grinding out the victory

Proper local derby, with both teams fielding teams with numerous local players being involved, Newquay having 13 of their 15 man squad being Newquay based which is great to see! For the match, a very scrappy encounter with the pitch in poor condition not allowing players to get it down and play. Newquay had the better chances 1st half and should gone in 2-0. Godolphin dominated the possession 2nd half and scored with 15 to go. The game was very stop start with a lot of fouls, the Godolphin winger was should've at least been booked with at least 2/3 dives during the game. Finished 1-0, draw probably would've been fair, good to see Newquay improving although both teams looked a bit suspect at the back.
