Northernmonkey
St Blazey 3 Illogan RBL 2 What a thoroughly enjoyable game!! St Blazey started well and took a two goal lead. They were dominant in the first half. I was particularly impressed by their pacey young striker who was excellent in the first half. His movement and direct play was too much for the two slow Illogan Central defenders. In the second half Illogan made a couple of subs that completely changed the flow of the game. A young gangly lad on the right of midfield and a physical centre forward were brought on. They had significant impact! It was one way traffic with Illogan now dominating. A goal was pulled back before St Blazey snatched a third with some calamatous defending from the Black and whites. Illogan continued to press and got a second. Despite their efforts they didn't really create enough in front of goal to get an equaliser. 3 yellow cards in the game (one for St Blazey and two for Illogan, all foul tackles).
