Fanfare
Took in this 'friendly' and Liskeard deserved their win. Cory Harvey made some crucial saves to keep Liskeard to only four goals.

Rob1978
If you don’t move forwards, you’ll end up going backwards. Look at St Blazey. Bodmin may well end up regretting not advancing the club during the good times. Instead of being Cornwall’s second club, they could end up being an average team in a county league

Unlike teams such as Parkway, Falmouth and St Austell they run on very low crowds, few committee members and volunteers and very little in the way of off the field commercial activities. Darren has continually worked miracles keeping them whrer they are.

So if Bodmin run on poor crowds and have little off field commercial activities then where has all the money come from to pay for the players ? Rob1978
Darren Gilbert has done well to win all those trophies, but he hasn’t taken the club forward. Yes low crowds, but the club did have a big budget. As with regards to the low crowds, maybe that is partly due to the clubs lack of ambition. Who cares it you keep on winning the same league, if your biggest rivals are no longer competing in it? Bodmin may end up having a good season, but at some point the stagnation will catch up with them.

Regardless of where/whom the playing budget was coming from, Darren Gilbert has done an incredible job keeping the club at that level, and also attracting the calibre of players that he has had. There were other clubs shelling out the same levels of "expenses", but not achieving nearly as much.
Fanfare
Liskeard were better than them last night but both sides spent far too long berating the officials for their decisions, even though most were correct. Darren Gilbert loudly voiced his disapproval at half time, ironically claiming they were being paid good money to make the decisions!

Another new season shortly upon us and Darren Gilbert voicing his disapproval, again. Come on Darren, you are getting very boring! We hear the same old "clap trap" from you every season. The only who is embarrassing is you Darren, season after season.

Fanfare
Cory Harvey was lucky to stay on the pitch with all the swearing and offensive language and using the referees most hated word, the c word. There were two bookings in the game, one for each side. A Bodmin player couldn't believe it, saying "it's a f*****g friendly" - yeah and what? Players can still be booked in a friendly. Harvey could have been dismissed in the first half when he brought down a Liskeard forward, conceding a penalty which he saved.
