teflon123
Exmouth must be quietly celebrating tonight. Wouldn't say the league is over but hard to see Exmouth slipping up from here on in. Henderson looked a worried man after the game.

Footballlover442
Good win for Bodmin! Didn't go in the end raced down to Helston thinking the game at Bodmin was off. Launceston are a very poor side especially at the back and no real end product going forward, only one substitute as well tough time for Launceston Helston played well deserved the points played good football on what looked a good surface for this stage of the season
Ian Pethick
On a separate note, have both Exmouth and Tavistock applied for promotion to the Western League?

Yes both have. The fa recently changed the rules giving promotion to best runners up across the leagues, meaning that both could possibly go up next season. A swpl east with no Tavi, Exmouth or Argyle next season, will open the pathway for a whole host of clubs.

Even with either Willand or Parkway going up as champions next season, the Western League Premier could have a decent Devon presence to it next season with them going up and Barnstaple looking like they will be relegated from the Southern League. Would be great to get the Parkway v Tavistock derbies back (would still prefer of course that Parkway go up as champions).

Whistle Blower
Helston obviously felt Launceston were a much inferior team to hand Daughtery his home debut. Big mouth Barrie was on the bench. So was Steve Oliver just a one game wonder? A ringer?

SCFC
exactly the reason why Argyle are taking the p*** out of the league... teams vary from 11 professionals to 11 kids, making a mockery of this league by causing inconsistencies with regards to results. Also, rarely go into the clubhouses after the game 👍

No inconsistencies as it's been done for years in leagues everywhere. Man United clearly influenced the 95/96 season after throwing in the kids at Aston Villa on the opening day. Oh wait, United won the league. Their inexperience may have gifted Villa three extra points that season. Win, lose or draw they should however go back to the club afterwards. Clubs have volunteers who take the time to make the food for BOTH clubs. Ian Pethick

Absolutely spot on with the fact if players are signed on they are eligible.... but comparing Western League Players to full time pro's is a bit of a difference?? This is a local league, not the premier league . I thought there were reserve leagues for reserve sides to go into anyway?
