Somehow league whipping boys St Blazey have scraped together another convincing win away from home. It's almost like they're nowhere near as bad as they've been made out to be during preseason.

Hopefully theirsuccess  will continue and bring them back to being a top Cornish club.

Went to St. Dennis this afternoon, first time for years. Wind affected that's the match I mean. 2 nil HT. Missed the first goal, my usual thing getting a coffee. Second goal a very good strike. To be honest a Bodmin win, but with 90% possession and wayward shooting it should have more. Refreshing to here home supporters with an unbiased view.Bodmin certainly not title contenders

Watched Godolphin loose 2-1 to Penzance this afternoon ,im not going to say much about the match Godolphin where awful they couldnt pass shoot at goal they where so poor but if they could play like they did last 5 mins of the match they wouldnt of lost they had 2 off the line and hit the crossbar in the closing mins .Penzance played well and the small  no4 KEVIN lAWRENCE  for them was brilliant best player on the field by a mile and scored a brilliant goal the young Penzance no9 also was very good  and the Penzance goalie Barrie Wyatt  was entertaining as usual  Godolphin let in a really soft goal when the Penzance player ANTON OLIVER  mis hit his shot and went past Ryan Holland to put them 1-0 ,Godolphin got a scrappy goal from Captain JOE STONE  Stone to put the score at 1-1 but the outstanding no4 got the winner they rightly deserved .My mom the Penzance no4 by a mile and for the G Joe Stone  .It was a awful result then got back to my car to drive back home and my clutch has gone wrong couldnt  get in any gears so had a long walk from Godolphin Way all the way back it killed me and my bad knee . Looks like i wont be able to make the Falmouth match next week i wont have a car but they will have to play better well they couldnt play any worst but you never know with the G hopefully Dan Perryman will be back he was badly missed ,They had Dom Roberts playing up front and to be honest i have seen a snail move faster Also forgot to say the ref was excellent played the advantage really well and left the game to flow well done to all 3 officials

Attended a hot & breezy Bodieve Park this afternoon for Wadebridge Town 2 Liskeard Athletic 3 (apparently a popular scoreline for forum prediction league contestants).

An enthusiastic encounter and not a great deal between the two sides today.

James Lorenz certainly had a decisive input on the proceedings and once again underlined what a good striker he is at this level.

Wadebridge went ahead early doors before the visitors started to exert the passing football they've become renowned for.

There was a slight contrast in styles and to be honest both sides failed to complete fully perfect game plan objectives (as could be verified by the howls of discontent from the dugouts).

Liskeard were 3-1 up as we approached full time but Wadebridge finally got some reward for a spirited last 20 minutes with a deserved injury time reply, we had a game-on situation once again! 2-3 and only 2 minutes left? Can't beat some last ditch drama.

It wasn't to be for Wadebridge, Liskeard held out for yet another impressive little away win. Good result for them considering a couple of regulars seemed to be missing, Jarrad Woods included.

Managed to grab a quick word with the long term injured Liskeard midfield general Jack Podmore, seems Jack is progressing well and may be back in around 6 weeks time, his presence will greatly boost an already impressive beginning to the season for the Lux Park side.

I'll be putting some visit report ramblings with a few more match details & photographs on the  https://wherestheteahut.blogspot.com/ site tomorrow.

Saltash United     3    (Moxham, Hughes, Richards)
AFC St Austell    0

Despite St Austell forcing two corners inside the opening five minutes, in addition to having a Hayden Turner shot saved, it was the home side who took the lead in the tenth minute when Tom Moxham hit a shot back across the six-yard box when Sam Hughes had been able to touch the ball onto the left wing-back.
The visitors rallied with Turner touching a cross from the right onto the Saltash cross-bar, but Saltash were cranking things up with Jason Chapman the busier ‘keeper, firstly saving a Danny Lewis shot, and then blocking an effort from Hughes after some sloppy midfield play.
A constant threat, it was probably no surprise that Hughes scored the second himself in the 28th minute and from then on there was only going to be one winner.
Chapman made a great save from a Jamie Simmonds shot, with skipper Ryan Richards volleying the parried out ball over the bar.
St Austell brought on Harry Clarke and Matt Searle for Cam Turner and Martin Watts at the start of the second half, but the Lillywhites, who began the day on top of the Premier West table, seldom managed to get any grip on this contest.
They did have a header over from central defender Martin Giles in the 54th minute, but soon after at the other end Saltash defender Callum O’Brien also headed over, when in fact he might feel he should have done better.
The gangly Reece Thompson, on for the injured youngster Simmonds, began to be a nuisance to St Austell, having a shot blocked by Chapman before heading wide and then agonisingly seeing his shot hit the inside of the post and come out with Chapman for once beaten.
With ten minutes remaining the outcome was well and truly wrapped up by Saltash with Richards starting the quick break attack from the halfway line and then being fed in to coolly finish.
It ensured Saltash maintain their 100% record and at three up, it meant they could also bring on Sam Farrant after an injury lay-off.
Saltash keeper Ryan Rickard had a fairly quite afternoon but still had to get behind a Clarke shot on the 90th minute.

The win takes Saltash top – played four, won four!

For St Austell, an out an out striker might be handy!

Well Leeds United must have had something a bit stronger with his blood orange at the White Pyramid last night after seeing St Blazey pick up their third win of the season. He must be suffering with blurred vision today and cant believe we scored 4. Lets hope he recovers for the 6 pointer at Blaise Park on Wednesday night.

Launceston 1 - Falmouth Town 7

What on earth has happened to Launceston ? (No disrespect to Falmouth Town).

Match report anyone ?

Perhaps they have some players that are also cricketers and they are seeing out the cricket season. Good on them if they are. Far too much football played anyway - that's why the standard is so poor. It should be quality not quantity!

Matt Buchan with his first SWPL hat trick for Falmouth

Injuries to Falmouth Ben Oliver dislocated toe , Dave Broglino doubtful for the VAse trip to Bristol .

Falmouth also finished the game with 10 players after 75 mins as all subs had been used when Broglino came off

9 points Paul, against Penzance, Wendron ( both in West last season ) & Callington who will finish bottom 2 . With the budget, you should be beating those 3 ! But we'll done as you can only beat what's Infront of you .. time will tell how it will materialise 😀
