We Two
Well done Sticker ! not the 8-9-10- nil hammering forecast by some and the Saints only 1-0 up at half time and that goal from a penalty. We will always give the village side 10 out of 10 for turning out a team every game, wherever it is and whatever the weather and despite their league position, showing a commitment to their club, the opposition, and the game of football that some others would do well to follow. Three lads in the Saints squad last night Rogers, Dingle, and Hooper are ex Sticker boys and doing well Chris Davey, Bobjfh and Soccer Follower

The Windmill On The Shirt
FA Vase, 1st Round Proper Torpoint Athletic 1-4 Saltash United Well our FA Vase dream is over for another season, it’s been exciting and tense. We lost today after being 1-0 up through a Owen Raven goal and 1-1 at half time. The player that changed the match for the visitors in the second half, was Ryan Richards with his clinical finishing and bagged all four visitors goals. 100%cornish
Went to St Blazey to watch them play Bodmin this afternoon i thought it was a very good game but the ref was card happy dishing out severel cards 1 for Sam Hillson which was rediculous ,Bodmin was the better side and Dan Jennings should of scored a hat ful he missed chance after chance but he did get Bodmins 2nd goal after Tallan Michell scored a great lob after St Blazey goalie Brodie Cole made a real mess of his clearance . I like watching a match where im entertained and i got that with Tallan Mitchell trickery on the wing he was really good , Nathan Summers was a Collosus at the heart of the Bodmin defence as was Matt Thackeray for St Blazey the No 9 for St Blazey put himself around a bit and scored a good goal but his strike partner Jack Alexander was poor pity Blazey couldnt of brought Levi Landricombe on that would of caused Bodmin problems maybe they will do that next week when Helston turn up at Blaise Park and i will be there with my Smokie dog was nice talking to some lovely Blazey supporters such a friendly club unlike Bodmin who i have always found miserable buggers .Anyway nice afternoon out and deserved win for Bodmin and MOM FOR THEM TALLAN MITCHELL AND ST BLAZEY MATT THACKERAY .Well done to Godolphin for beating Launceston maybe they have turned a corner and more wins will come now must of given the players and managager some confidence Olimar

Uwdi Krugg
Up at Lantoom Park for some welcome relief from the rain to see Dobwalls defeat Wendron 4-0. My head count bagged 32 of us. The home side deserved the win but the 4 goal scoreline was a little unfair to a competitive Wendron outfit. Nice to see the ground open for business again with everything looking nice and tidy. Chose a grass roots ordinary SWPL West clash today to be rid of all the inflated hype certain clubs are pumping out at the moment. You'd think the Cornwall bubble was in competition with the Champions League to witness some of the stuff being circulated. Leave the "We're bigger than you" bragging to corporate modern football clones, lets just enjoy some honest non league football. Think there were more Ultra's in the Trago Mills DIY Section than behind the nets at Dobwalls today. Ref did yellow card the Bodmin manager for abuse. Dan Jennings should have had a hat trick, always looks dangerous making clever runs , but boy does he go down easily ,screaming like a big girls blouse most of the time. Bodmin just about deserved the win. Should have been 3 or 4 up before St Blazeys goal and only just clung on for the win in the end. Paul
You knew Bodmin were given a good test when they started wasting time taking the ball to the corner flag. Not a bad effort from a side from the fish and chip league. As for wanting the game off....no chance. With St Austell and Sticker having played it was a chance for a good crowd and the attendance of 155 was good to see. Another defeat by the odd goal. Very frustrating. Were very close to beating several sides. Need to cut out the odd silly mistake and then who nos. Cant fault the effort and fitness. Saltash away Wednesday. Dave Deacon
Torpoint Athletic 1 (Raven), Saltash United 4 (Richards 4) With the home side taking the lead after just 9 minutes when Owen Raven touched home, you wouldn’t have been forgiven for thinking that the visitors were going to be in for a long afternoon with their threadbare squad. No Hughes, no Lewis – both on holiday I think, injuries to Martindale, Moxham, Wilson, Simmonds, Barker, Leary and apologies if I’ve missed anyone because they are low on regular players at the moment. In contrast Torpoint had good news ahead of the game with the permanent return of Curtis Damerell, and also back, but cup tied for today, Luke Cloke. However, failing to build on their lead, worse still was the cardinal sin of conceding a goal with the half-time break appraoching. Ryan Richards had looked the most likely to score for the visitors and he made no mistake in the 41st minute levelling the game. Richards scored a second 6 minutes after the break with an unstoppable effort after being put through by Matt Cusack (yes – their manager who came on as sub for the second half), and the Ashes ace striker Richards was certainly red hot today claiming his hat-trick on the hour and then not long after, in the 68th minute, there was no way back for Torpoint as Richards once again exposed the hosts frailties at the back with a fourth! A couple other familiar names back in Saltash colours today who did their bit – Steve Sargison and Matt Godfree (on as sub during the second half). Bobjfh
Camelford 1-2 Buckland Athletic A decent game of football, which was well supported by both Clubs, Buckland bringing two mini buses of supporters. First 10 minutes saw Camelford press and could / should have scored at least one goal but were not clinical enough. Buckland have some very good players, especially their no 11 who started the season at Truro and several ex Biddeford players - and the 11 was a continual threat with pace and power but they never really capitalised on that, against a Camels team who were not fully firing in the first half, missing 3 players from their midweek match with injuries. Buckland scored 2 goals in the first half - unfortunately through very poor defending (an area the Camels have improved massively on this season) - the first was by the Buckland 5 being allowed a free header and the second from a long ball that was the keepers ball all day long, until a defender decided to chest it back to him, wrong footing the keeper and allowing Bowker (who for once was not laying on the floor screaming) to run in behind and score a simple goal. 2-0 HT but little separating the teams. Camelford started the second half brightly - they are a team who will not roll over), but Buckland then had about 20 minutes of excellent play controlling the game and whilst mainly side to side they did create a couple of decent chances. Last 15/20 was all Camelford who scored from a header and shortly afterwards scored again but had it ruled out for offside. I don’t like to criticise officials - but the player scoring was a good two yards on side when he ran into the box to beat the keeper - a very very poor decision from the official. You know when the opposing team don’t claim and head for the restart that the official got it wrong - but there again having seen the individual several times he likes to ‘be involved’. Camels kept pushing but Buckland were too savvy and killed the game off. The better team over the 90 won and good luck to them in the next round, The one highlight after the game was reading the Twitter feeds on the Helston v Falmouth game - well done Falmouth, especially Matty B who Helston dumped as not good enough. mattelot

hoppit
Pity people can't give Camelford a bit of credit instead of harping on about what Bodmin didn't do. This forum seems to think no teams exist the other side of Bodmin. Camelford do alright on a very small budget and have a few players that are better than anything Bodmin have got, just no depth when they are unavailable, also can't afford to bring in ringers like most teams do, so give credit where credits due, Bodmin didn't under achieve they got beat by a better team on the night. teflon123
Saltash extremely impressive in their Vase win at a rather lack lustre Torpoint. Seemed to be a few square pegs in round holes within the Torpoint side and it showed as Saltash skipper bagged all 4. On this evidence it’s clear to see why Tiverton are seeking him as a replacement for Mr Landricombe. Was impressed further with how professional Saltash were as an outfit and the manner in which they played the game for the whole duration, still my title favourites and hope the get an attractive next round tie at Kimberly Stadium.
