County statement re the Liskeard v St Blazey incident

Recommended Posts

From the Cornwall FA this morning -

“Following an incident which took place in the Liskeard Athletic v St Blazey AFC Kitchen Kit South West Peninsula League Game on Saturday 16th November, where a spectator entered the field of play, Cornwall FA conducted an investigation and gathered statements from The Match Officials, Liskeard Athletic and St Blazey FC.

Taking everything into consideration It has been decided that Cornwall FA will not be issuing charges against either club, they could not have predicted what was going to happen and both dealt with the situation as it unfolded.

Cornwall FA have however issued a charge against Paul Edwards for an alleged Breach of FA Rule E3 – Improper Conduct (including threatening and/or abusive language/behaviour)

Mr Edwards has subsequently pleaded Guilty to the charge and the case will now be heard by a Cornwall FA Disciplinary Panel”
