Promising start for Millbrook with a 6-2 win over Saltash today. It is a pre season friendly but Millbrook who have kept a solid core of players are going to give most teams a challenge. Macca back at the helm and even without 2 key players they were prepared and ready for action

Saltash will struggle to compete now .. losing some key players and losing Matt is massive . Dane is not on the same level , players that played today didn’t look great. Richards a huge miss on today’s evidence .millbrook very well drilled was good last year and tailed off .. few new faces some missing .only preseason but lots of positives .

Losing Matt Cusack and Matt Godfree is a huge blow, but thought Ryan Richards was the only departure (losing your top scorer and captain is a big enough blow though). Agree though Millbrook ,and Torpoint, do go under the radar due to them playing in Peninsula East.

Yeah think they will be ok .. but is ok good enough. They have been up there challenging last 3 years and in the latter stages of all the cups competitions . Don’t think they will make top 5/6 more like back to the mid table side

Hopefully that doesn’t happen journeyman, mid table after those last few years would be sad being a saltash fan. Without covid, could that league have been won, would have definitely gone close with Helston. Some of the football before our normal wash out months let alone covid was another level. The Bodmin 6-0 win stands out. Crowd at Kimberley buzzing atmosphere under the lights.

Got a lot of the same players and Dane and Lee (assistant) worked alongside Matt.

Pre season is strange one isn’t it. Time will tell.

It’s strange what a couple of changes can do . Losing the top man and then the top player. Going to have a huge impact . Quality gone out Captain Richards ,Maddison , Edwards and one or 2 others with the likes of Ryan Lucassi and there young lads  is a compete contrast but I think Dane knows him so 🤔🤯🤯

Some of the above comments regarding Saltash are looking a bit silly now. Was Sat in the stand last night watching my son and I'd say that they are getting better then last season not worse.
