Jeff Chambers
What a game at Kelloway park last night. Congratulations to Helston for a spirited comeback. You can't knock that. However after a fantastic 1st half performance by Town the game should have been dead and buried. So many missed chances and opportunities in particular when Martin Duff was free with only the keeper to beat and decided to square it instead of sliding it past the advancing keeper, the chance was gone but that apart Martin played great as did all our players. Billy Tucker scored a late winner for Helston and to be fair, he is some player, without him i think Helston wouldn't be anywhere near as effective going forward. The ups and downs of football eh guys, but we've all been there and for us, Falmouth Town we go again. A tough game at Dobwalls Saturday gives us a chance to get back on it. Just like to add, what a turn out by the F-Troop who were queueing at the gate at 5:15pm. We used every one of our tiny allocation and never stopped supporting our beloved Falmouth Town from start to finish.
