Ian Pethick
After hearing how much rain has fallen in the SW over the last few days (with more scheduled for tomorrow), would think the fixture list will be decimated.

Have just walked the dog around priory and the pitch is looking good, I would imagine tonight's game is on, but anything is possible.

Luke Gibbons
Torpoint AFC 2-0 Brixham AFC Torpoint XI: Peters, Holder, Bradley, Hillson, Hicks, Lucas, Heveran, Thompson(85), Hardcastle, Young(67), Damerell Subs: Edwards(67), Roberts(85) Goals: Damerell (15,25) Last week this would've been a must win but after the midweek results it was possibly a must not lose. Without key men in Richards and captain Heveran, Cardew welcome Young and Holder into the starting line up. Torpoint started brightly with Brixham's No.1, Fisher, making an impressive one on one stop from the onrushing Damerell. However, he couldn't keep the striker at bay for long. A whipped corner was met at the near post as Torpoint took the lead and the foot hold of the game. Heveran, moved from his usual position at right full back, was ever impressive in midfield. Dominant in possession and with a wide range of passing he often found Hardcastle and Hicks wide or Damerell and Young in the Channel. At the 25min mark, more neat play found Damerell once again free inside the area to strike home. Whislt Torpoint continued to press, they were unable to finish their chances. The best chance actually came for the visitors. A frenzy within the box allowed a player to strike from within 12 yards, an acrobatic Bradley was able to block the attempt with Peters smothering the ball. Entering the 2nd period Brixham knew they had to be better to prevent back to back loses. Brook was introduced from the bench and he and captian Parkin formed a relationship to battle the Torpoint midfield. Parkin, who was afforded too much space, forced a spectacular stop from Peters as he looked to bend one from 20 yards. With opportunities at a minimum, Torpoint looked to protect their lead and counter on the break. Heveran, Damerell and Edwards all found themselves with opportunities but stout defending and heavy legs prevented them from doing so. MoM: Paul Heveran All in all a fantastic 3 points for Torpoint who continue their charge to the League summit. Another top of the table clash awaits next week with Okehampton being the visitors. The Governor
Dobwalls 6 St Dennis 1 The game was pretty one sided and it was only the visitors keeper that kept the score in single figures. He made a string of fine saves including one from the penalty spot. Despite being totally out classed St Dennis gave it their all for the full 90 minutes. It is sad to see a club that were a force to be reckoned with in Cornish football slip down to the level that they find themselves in at this time. Hopefully they can rebuild and continue at this level? The referee who I believe was being assessed had a pretty good game on the whole although it was an easy game to officiate and played in good spirit. Wishing both clubs all the best for the rest of the season Thecupfootballblogger and TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
Bobjfh
Camelford 3-3 Wendron i wasn’t at the game but got regular updates, unfortunately I don’t know the Wendron scorers, but I am told there was a common theme to the first half. Wendron went into an early lead from a fast break and quality finish. They were pegged back shortly after by an Ed free kick from the edge of the box on the angle. 1-1 Camelford had the better possession but were caught with two breaks and again good finishes to go in at HT 1-3 to Wendron - Camelford feeling they should at least have been level. Second half was dominated by Camelford who got one back with a pull back from Gus and shot from Ed 2-3. Then Camels had a penalty saved (I am reliably informed Ed is now off penalties lol but 10 goals in 14 games still isn’t too shabby for a midfielder). Ed redeemed himself with setting up Cam P for the equalising goal 3-3. I am told on another day Ryan could / should have scored at least a hat trick with several other spurned chances by the Camels and whilst a point from 1-3 down would seem satisfactory Camels definitely feel like two points dropped. Wendron have a very good team with pacy strikers who take their chances very well and good luck to them for the rest of the season - always a good team and nice people. Camelford move on to Saltash in the CSC next Saturday - hopefully with a few players back. Thecupfootballblogger
