While there have been a few periods of heavy, over-night rain this week, pitches have not dried out due to the drizzle. An easterly, drying wind would do the trick but we've yet to see one this winter. Penlee Park was still too wet to get any equipment on yesterday afternoon. I "rolled" the worst bits with the tyres of the ride-on mower!

No god dam way would I do that...game off!

New groundsman brushed the pitch and training ground here yesterday...no problem...game on.

Entertaining game on an almost unplayable pitch at Callington. Although Callington were well worth their 5-1 win St Austell deserve credit too, playing good passing football and competing until the final whistle despite the score line. Was impressed by referee Lee Roberts too - stayed on top of an at times physical game that under a less assertive and confident referee might have boiled over.

It’s a bit quite on here tonight after a big result in the county 👀

Good point. Was anyone at the Torpoint game? Lol!

There are some words about Falmouth Town's loss today on the specific thread. Some of them from Falmouth Town fans.

Who seriously calling games off when there been no rain at all.
sounds like someone struggling to raise a side

Suggest you walk the pitch. Priory is notorious for holding waterwith all the hills arounbd it and the leat running underneath. May appear not much rain but there has been lots by night.

Lee is a top ref, always impressed when I see him as the main man in the middle.

Another good result for Callington!

How many games is that now for Callington unbeaten? Must almost be double figures.

That's good going 👍

Extremely good going considering where they were at the start of the season, playing some decent football in the process from what I seen on Saturday.

Apparently a big Cornish club currently struggling have approached the Callington Management Team about potentially taking over next season?

Could be just a rumour with plenty flying about at the minute.
