Falmouth were good but St Blazey were impressive despite the scoreline. I do think Falmouth will need to toughen up a bit when the season starts.

A bit of a game of two halves.  Town were dominant in the 1st half.  Good ball retention, quick and sharp. Lots of dead ball situations and in the absence of Dave Broglino and Luke Barner, Tim Nixon stepped forward with some excellent deliveries. One of them lead to the bullet header from James Ward. JBE had the other one from a free kick from the edge of the area.

2nd half and Ryan Fice and his staff made a few changes which tipped the balance towards St Blazey for a while. Olly Brokenshire shored the midfield up in the holding role and Town couldn't get going.

A few chances fell to either side and Blazey got one back.  In the end, a quality piece of finishing from JBE restored the two goal advantage.

Good competitive game with a few late challenges scattered about but hopefully no injuries for either side.

River Allen looked a decent player.  No surprise there, but Blazey need to get him on the ball a bit more.

Blazey should be up there with Liskeard this season although Wendron have strengthened so it should be interesting.

Town should hold their own in the Western Prem. Top 10 finish would do in the 1st season. Hopefully it wont take them too long to adjust to the increased pace and physicality of the new league.

No offence to the Peninsula League West, but River Allen could play with a cigar in his mouth for most of these games. Wasted at step 6.

Will he get frustrated with the players around him not being up to his level, or on his wavelength?

Hasn’t Matt cusack seen river first hand at parkway ? Maybe one of the reasons he put a stop to Massey signing him

seen river play for years a good player but massively overhyped  . Always looking to play a Hollywood pass when an easy option is available parkway went up a level when he left  .
