Mousehole v St Austell

Great to go and travel to Mousehole last evening. The pitch and surrounding area was looking fantastic well done to all the work that has been put in, a credit to a cornish club representing western league footy. A good run out for both sides. The the first half was fast paced from both sides, St Austell putting out a strong side as Mousehole did chances missed from both and 0 - 0 halftime. Not sure what Sparks said half time but St Austell went for it and were 1 up from cross come /shot Bidgood then Rory was making it 0 - 2 who was running everything down. Mousehole still a threat. Then Slates one on one with the keeper 0-3 still a class player with time and quality. Mousehole still pushed and we're rewarded with a goal. Not sure who, I was behind the Mousehole goal. Game on. St Austell mistake for the home sides second goal. Then Mousehole made a few subs as did St Austell which changed the game for the home side they were pushing for the equaliser and it came. But Maris had a screamer saved by the goal keeper not sure if he new much about it but one hell of a save. Finished 3-3. 

Nice to see some old St austell boys playing Goldy, Simms, Turner, Dilly and Calver. 

After tonights outing St Austell season is looking mighty fine with players still missing through injury. Good luck for Mouseholes season they will be right up there. Top team.
