Ian Pethick
Start of a tough week with 3 games on the road for a Parkway side that needs to start replicating their strong home form on their travels. Tomorrow's opponents, Met Police, have hit form and won their last 3 as they look to get into the play off frame.
Ian Pethick
Met Police 1 Parkway 0 Can't really say the Met Police were much better than Parkway, home supporters said as much. But, as you would expect from an experienced side at this level who are on the fringes of the play offs, they were just a little bit better at key parts of the games, and took their chance when it came .They scored from close range midway through the first half after Parkway's centre backs misjudged a free kick from the right. This ironically came after a 10 minute spell when Parkway were on top and looked more likely to take the lead. Parkway had the bulk of the second half possession, without really creating much, and it was the Met who looked the most likely to get the next goal as they were happy to play on the break (hitting the post at one stage). Parkway seemed to lack ideas, composure and a cutting edge in midfield, and I don't remember Ben Seymour having any clear opportunities. It must be a real conundrum for Hobbs as what needs to be done in order to reproduce the strong home form on the road.
sportsman10
This is becoming a habit tho. Losing games by odd go but not really offering much of a goal threat. Especially If Seymour is quiet. Lacking a proper goal scoring midfielder for me and another decent striker
Ian Pethick
Heard that Tom Bath is going out on loan to Torpoint as he steps up his comeback after that horrific sounding achilles injury. If Parkway can get him back fit and firing for the latter part of the season, it will be like a new signing. Much needed support for Ben Seymour as well. Already well stocked with strikers there wonder how many starts he will get. never really ever got going at parkway at all. So will be interesting to see what happens with him
sportsman10
New striker in on loan for parkway. . Oscar Massey from Swindon . Lee was desperate to get in another striker in even if it’s only a month.

Third spell out on loan this season from Swindon though, and hasn't exactly set the world alight at Hungerford and Wantage. New manager in at the Robins who possibly doesn't fancy him, and the signing of Charlie Austin will have also pushed him further down the pecking order. More forward options and support for Ben Seymour badly needed. Theo Simpson, Jared Lewington and Ollie Hulbert have already been tried so far this term. Will be interesting to see if Tom Bath does get games ahead of Curtis Damerell and Ryan Richards at Torpoint. Can only think that there are fitness and availability issues around the pair of them. Willing to give Bath a chance at Parkway, from what I heard, he struggled last season with playing as a lone striker. Currently, Lee Hobbs is going with a front two, so he may look more comfortable in this formation. Big achievement in that he has got to the stage of being ready to play just over seven months after such a serious injury. sportsman10
