He was released by Plymouth at the end of the season, so would be surprised if we weren't all over that. https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/law-craske-and-pursall-depart Ryan Law, Finley Craske and Brandon Pursall will all be leaving Argyle at the end of the season. The three players, who have all come through the Argyle Academy, are out of contract in June, and will depart Home Park this summer. The releases of these three young professionals have come ahead of the full first-team retained list, which is set to be announced next week. The decision to announce departures at this stage should serve to assist all three players to find new clubs at the start of a very busy summer in the transfer market. Decisions on senior professionals will follow the conclusion of the Sky Bet League One season, which will end following Argyle's trip to Port Vale this Sunday, where the Pilgrims could clinch the league title. Ryan, 23, has spent much of this season on loan at Yeovil Town and Gillingham. Prior to that, he had a spell with Torquay United. The left wing-back has been with Argyle since the age of eight, and made his EFL debut in April 2021, having previously played a handful of cup ties. In 2021/22, he played 22 games, 14 in League One, and scored his first Argyle goal with a strike in a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. In January 2022, he scored an extra-time winner for Argyle against Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City in the Emirates FA Cup. Finley, 20, has played nine times for the Greens, including three substitute appearances in the league. During his time with Argyle, he has also spent time out on loan at Tiverton Town, Plymouth Parkway, Truro City and Yeovil Town. Nineteen-year-old Brandon’s eight Argyle appearances all came in the Papa Johns Trophy, starting with his debut in September 2020, against Norwich City Under-21s, when Pursall was just 16. Brandon has also spent time out on loan, with Plymouth Parkway and Tavistock. Argyle Director of Football Neil Dewsnip, said: “We would like to thank Ryan, Finley and Brandon for their service to the football club, and wish them all the very best in their futures. We have opted to inform them all now to give them the best possible chance of securing a club for next season, and beyond.” Manager Steven Schumacher said: “It has been a pleasure working with all three lads, who have shown themselves to be excellent professionals and good people. I am sure all will have a future in the game, and we wish them well.”
Ian Pethick
Would love to see Finlay Craske back at Parkway (heard a rumour that Lee Hobbs enquired after him when his loan at Yeovil ended), but would think that Truro would be his most likely destination. Given how the NLS season is 46 games, would think that Paul Wotton will be working to increase depth and numbers within the squad. Step 2 football will also make them an attractive option for Argyle (and other clubs) when they're looking to park youngsters. City have worked the loan system pretty well over the last few seasons. Craze
Ryan Law would provide back up/competition to CRL as well? Although doesn't seem to have progressed as a player through all his different loan spells so maybe not an option. From the few times I watched us this year, I feel like we could do with some pace on both flanks (although note we seem to play 5-3-2 so maybe wingers aren't in the manager's thoughts). Could do with a ball playing centre back as well.

Austen Booth would fit the "ball playing centre back in a 3-5-2" bill very nicely, and would certainly be an upgrade on Ed Palmer in that position (also heard that Taunton are keen on Booth). But Truro nicking him from Parkway should be a potential eviction from Bolitho matter. 😁 Footy follower and Dave Deacon
sportsman10
Booth was excellent last season , took him a bit of time to get going but he turned into a real leader. An imagine he has a few after him the same with Ben Seymour will be Lee biggest task this summer fending off other teams who can offer mikes more money. Truro will definitely need more numbers especially up front. Tyler Harvey struggled with injuries and Truro struggle to replace his goals When he was out. Craske has probably been an unlucky victim of Argyle being promoted to the championship, can they afford to carry a player who probably isn't yet championship calibre? Still a very good player, but a full season of playing regularly (whether at L2, NL or NLS) is needed for his development. sportsman10
3 big departures. The billy palfrey one was on the cards. Has suffered really badley with injury issues to the point last year I heard he was going to give his body a rest for a season or so. Was also on a contract so unless Truro have paid off that I don’t see him signing there. auston booth is massive loss he was probably the best player this season and proper captain material seymar as good as he is i always felt parkway was just a stepping stone for him well on top of needing a keeper that is going to be some rebuild in the summer for Lee Hobbs

GRTourist
As someone who watches a lot of Hampton, my instincts tell me I should be really pleased about us signing Ben Seymour (announced today), but I've only actually seen him live once. Can anyone tell us what to expect? I think him being reunited with his Academy management from Exeter (our manager is Mel Gwinnett and Paul Tisdale also involved) can only be a good thing. Ian Pethick
Hampton is a lovely place to watch football, fully intend popping over there to watch the SW sides in action. Ben Seymour is a pacy striker who looks to play on the shoulder of the last man, finishes well and not afraid of early snap shooting. A downside is that he has suffered with hamstring injuries, possibly one of the reasons why Exeter let him go. A season of dropping down a level, playing every week and scoring regularly has worked for him (and Parkway). GRTourist

Craze
Dan Rooney has signed for Truro, as their first confirmed summer signing. Truro City Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Dan Rooney. The charismatic attacking midfielder returns for his third spell with the White Tigers following his recent departure from Plymouth Parkway. The 24-year-old originally joined the club back in 2018 on loan from then parent club Plymouth Argyle where he came through the academy. He impressed that season scoring 7 times and assisting 3 but it wasn’t enough to prevent the club’s relegation from the National League South. He was released by Argyle that summer and went on to have short stints with Bury and Bath City before returning to Truro on a permanent basis in October 2019. He joined Plymouth Parkway last summer but returns to Truro after a just a year away becoming Paul Wotton’s first signing of the off season. Would be nice to bring some players in who haven't had a couple of spells at the club already but hey good to get one in the door. Any thoughts on this one? Has he developed at all since he was last at Truro?

sportsman10
That palfrey signing is a strange one. Was on a contract at parkway and the club thought he was the future.
