Dave Deacon
I'm told there's a new idea which has been trialled elsewhere and is now being used countywide in others where referees will now fill in a form marking clubs on how well behaved the players are, how club officials treat referees, crowd behaviour and one or two other things. The league that trialled it, although sceptical at first said that by the season's end there was a marked improvement in the behaviour of certain clubs. TheOpinionoftheReferee
Yes, to a certain extent. There are match report forms that ask questions around sportsmanship, technical area behaviour, hospitality and changing rooms etc. And to report competition rule breaches and such. It varies by level what is asked for rather than a standard approach.
justanopinion
Maybe not in exact same format but thought refs already do give a mark. There is an award given by SWP for the highest mark across a season.
Foul Throw 3
ECPL gave out the same award and was based on the marks given by the referee.
