Washburn leaves Millbrook

Recommended Posts

A real shame would’ve liked to see him continue after last season. But massive credit to him, to continue a full season with results not going their way, travel and limited resources at Millbrook I think shows real class. Many managers step down before Xmas if results and targets in preseason aren’t met. For him to endure and see out the season which he signed on for I have nothing but respect.

Millbrook manager Ricky Washburn has left the club to take up the managers post at Barnstable.

The search is on for Millbrooks new manager.

Barnstaple must be clear favourites for Western League relegation next season.

Following last seasons HMRC dissolving of the club as a registered company, dismissal of team manager just days ahead of Les Phillips Cup Final, widely shared video of supporters run in with the Chairman, whilst also allegedly, and disrespectfully, failing to be represented at the leagues end of season dinner, says to me the club is currently on the wrong trajectory for anything less than a future in the now Walter C Parsons Peninsula League.
