Mike Odgers
It appears Thatcham Town (Berkshire) have had their appeal for a sideways move from Southern League 1 South rejected by The FA. Although their seasons travel will be (2453 miles) there are 5 clubs having more distance with Mousehole heading the list looking at 3828 miles With a 22 Club division covering at least 10 Counties its going to be a challenging season for everyone and perhaps for the three Cornish clubs it will be slightly easier with no F A Vase or Senior Cup to contend with..-Just praying for No Saturday )weather) postponments Town Fan
Devonian
It’s obviously tough on Thatcham and nearby (ish) Didcot. Not sure though what else the FA could do IF it wants to keep standard 20 team leagues across the pyramid. Had Cirencester not taken voluntary relegation, may well have been them and Worcester in that league (there are already two broadly Worcester area clubs) but once that option disappeared, geography pretty much dictated these two. Mousehole being multi multi millionaires as you all keep pointing out, are now building a small airstrip for the 2 private jets we have just purchased 🤣🤣🤣🤡 MattP, Town Fan and Dave Deacon
Ian Pethick
Southern League Div 1 clubs must be desperately hoping for a dry winter (or at least less wet than last time around)). And, for the Cornish clubs, where do you fit the Senior Cup in? Always one of the arguments against admitting the step 4 clubs to the competition. There is a protected midweek each month in agreement with the FA for Senior County competitions.
