mattelot Posted August 17 Report Share Posted August 17 Full credit to Barnstaple on a well deserved victory.They flew out of the traps and were in the faces of town the whole game not allowing them any time on the ball and forcing them into silly errors.3 nil down after 22 mins a shell shocked town couldn't get any meaningfull hold on the game. An Oscar Massey penalty on 28 mins gave us some hope for the rest of the half .However 5 mins into the 2nd half experienced Barnstaple striker Gabby Rogers had a clear shot on goal from outside of the box past keeper Morgan Coxhead and it was affectively game over. Last season town had a wakeup call after a 4-1 defeat at St Blazey and I've no doubt this will have the same effect. As for Barnstaple if they can keep this side together and play like they did today then they must be favourites for promotion.
