Tamar.man
Callington 1 Shepton Mallet 1 Callington win 5 - 4 on penalties, A hard thought game, pretty even, were both teams had chances to win it, both goalkeepers on top form, and Callington keeper was the hero saving one of the Shepton penalties, fair 90 min result,, we'll done Callington.. Scoffy
Wendron 5 Dobwalls 0 Ht 2-0 Wendron bounced back from a disappointing result midweek to inflict a first defeat on the visitors from Dobwalls. Both sides threatened in the opening 20 or so without really testing the two keepers, Wendron playing with the wind at there backs guilty of over hitting the ball initially rather than playing through the lines and Dobwalls neat build up play just lacking that final pass. From a Dobwalls corner Wendron took the lead Ryan Reeve coming away with the ball and playing a pass off a Dobwalls defenders head right in to Brodie Kemp who finished off the post. Wendron we’re guilty of missing some good chances after this and Dobwalls could of drawn level but probably would of taken being one down at the break playing with the wind second half, however it was 2 right on half time Max Roberts rising highest from a Joe Souch corner. Knowing the next goal was crucial after the break it was Wendron who played the conditions better getting the ball down and playing around the full backs for Kemp Reeve and Wood to get in behind, Kemp got his second from one such ball squeezing the ball in from a tight angle down Dobwalls right. Wendron learning from Wednesday’s defeat played higher up the pitch meaning a lot of Dobwalls attacks were dealt with by Zach Telling in the sticks. With about 20 to go Wendron seemingly made the game safe a through ball from Reece Carroll found Billy Stone bursting through and he finished past the advancing keeper. Multiple substitutions from both sides broke the game up and it was two of these Rio Watson and Evan Tresidder who combined for Dron’s 5th Ryan Reeve ultimately gained by charging down the keeper’s clearance and tapping in to an empty net. In to the hat we go and a week off before we go to Bodmin next Saturday. All the best to Dobwalls who are sitting top of the table for a reason 🙂🐐 jannersaint, The Town Man and Graham Deacon 2

Southwest football fan
Great results for Elburton and Callington. What happened to Newquay? There has been a lot of talk about them this season... Poor result that!

However, 5-0 a bit of a hammering and I’m told it could have been a couple more.
