The Villains
Dartmouth 2 Ivybridge Town 4 IVYBRIDGE produced an excellent performance against Dartmouth to reach the last eight of the Throgmorton Cup. Ivybridge led 1-0 at the interval thanks to Joe Truelove's powerful, six yard, header from Martyn Sullivan's corner. Dartmouth, who are enjoying a good season in the South West Peninsula League, were level two minutes after the break when Tom Comyn turned Chris Harrity's low cross into the net from close range However, the Bridgers required just four minutes to regain the lead with Ross Coombes blasting the ball home from 25 yards and it was the same player who converted Ben Smallridge's deep cross to make it 3-1 on the hour. Dartmouth replied with Comyn heading his second of the game and it was only a great save by Dave Painter that prevented him scoring a hat-trick before Ryan Fice completed the scoring in stoppage time. Great away win..............
